The Cancer Research UK London Winter Run has changed all that.

The event, London’s biggest 10km run at any time of the year, will see over 16,000 runners take on a closed-road, Central London course on Sunday 5th February 2017, with many using the event to help raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for Cancer Research UK. Entrant to the 2016 event raised almost half-a-million pounds for the charity.

Starting in Trafalgar Square with a snow blast-off, before taking in some of the city’s most iconic landmarks as well as a range of winter-themed zones (featuring polar bears, Swiss chalet drinks stations, huskies and penguins!), the Cancer Research London Winter Run UK appeals to runners of all abilities. Whilst 19% of entrants in 2016 were taking part in their first ever running event, 35% were using the event as a training event for a spring marathon.

The event is particularly popular with groups of colleagues, with teams from companies including HSBC, UBS and Yahoo! using the event to work towards fundraising and wellbeing aims. A dedicated corporate entry type, the Nuffield Health Corporate Clash 10k, is available and offers 20% off entry fees for teams of five or more, exclusive finisher’s t-shirts and an inter-business competition.
